A Safety Lockout hasps are normally used by maintenance engineers where multiple workers must isolate machinery and equipment with their personal padlock. A Safety Lockout Tagout Hasp is part of a multi-range of safety products which when used in conjunction with one another enable workers to protect themselves from the unexpected start-up of machinery or electrical circuits whilst they carry our maintenance or cleaning work.

The hasp is attached to the primary isolator. Then the person carrying out the work attaches their personal padlock. Any additional workers who need to work on the same isolated equipment attach their own personal padlock to the hasp.
